Mmmmmmm what a yummy question! Are you a fetishist or a hedonist? I am asking you this question because I’ve decided to embrace the fact that I’m a hedonist! Is it important to define yourself with a label? Nope! Is it fun to discuss all things fetish and hedonist? Yep! Let’s go!

Fetishist: Belief in or use in Fetishes. The compulsive use of some object, or part of the body, as a stimulus in the course of attaining sexual gratification as a shoe, a lock of hair, or underclothes.

Hedonist: Those who seek fulfillment through pleasure in life.

I have a good friend in the lifestyle and he said he wasn’t defining himself as a kinkster or a fetishist any longer. He said he is clearly a hedonist. I asked him what he meant. He said, “I can have a toolbox in my truck filled with hammers, screwdrivers and wrenches. I don’t know which I’ll need throughout the day; but I like knowing I have all the options available to me!” I laughed and nodded in agreement. Sometimes a fetishist can find a few kinks that they really enjoy or are incredibly turned on by – let’s say perhaps shibari, cbt and latex bondage. These are the things that get him going – every time! So hot! For a hedonist; they like it ALL! Whatever feels good physically, emotionally, mentally!
